Jane M. Burns – Age 69, beloved wife of Richard J. Burns died Monday at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston after a
courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Boston, December 16, 1940, the daughter of the late Arthur J. and Monica M. (Rochford) Doucette and lived in Watertown for many years before moving to Billerica in 1969.
Mrs. Burns was a former Fifth Grade Teacher for the Town of Wilmington and at one time wrote the “Have You Heard” article for the Billerica Minuteman. She was a former member of the Billerica Young Women’s Club, volunteered for many fund raisers in Billerica and enjoyed spending time at their home at Loon Mountain.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Burns is survived by her sons, David Burns and his wife Kelly, Paul Burns and his wife Nancy and Chris Burns all of Billerica and Gregg Burns and his wife Michelle of Brentwood, NH; her sister, Phyllis Falco of Watertown; her grandchildren, Mackenzie, Amanda, Delaney, John, Zachary, Emmy, Marshal and Leah Burns; her brother-in-law, Paul Burns of Nashua and her sister-in-law, Frances Burns of Westwood. Mrs. Burns was the sister of the late David Doucette.
